Naples & Governor's Cup
Sunday July 18
Have some fun with a little friendly competition. Sign up on the Members bulletin board or at the Pro Shop desk.
Each year, Naples Golf & Country Club holds the Naples Cup and the Governor's Cup Tournaments. This year it will be a combined tournament, and will be held on Sunday July 18. Starting tee times will be between 8:30 and 9:30 am, and later in the day as needed.
All NGCC members with a MSGA handicap are eligible to play. The Naples Cup is a two person team gross 18 holes tournament and the Governor's Cup is a two person team net 18 holes tournament. Both are played at the same time and your score is entered into both tournaments.
The cost is $10 per person and is paid prior to starting play. You can call in or put your name on the sign up sheet on the new Members Bulletin Board.

Tuesday Scramble-7/6
The Tuesday night scramble is becoming very popular so please be sure to call in your team prior early. The earlier the better.
Starting Tuesday July 20, the Scramble will stay on the backside for the summer so we can accomodate 16 teams.
The Tuesday Scramble is open to all: members and non-members. Cart fee's are $6 and non-members pay a $10 green fee. There is also a $7 cash fee which goes to the weekly prizes.

Golf Event
Sat July 31
Our next Member-Member golf get together will be Sat July 31. The tournament committee has put together a "fun" event that all members and their guests will enjoy. It will be a "6-6-6" format, where the first 6 holes will be "Alternate Shot", the second 6 holes will be "Best Ball", and the last 6 holes will be "Scramble".
Alternate shot is when each team of 4, alternates whose shot will be used. Person 1 will hit the first shot, person 2 will hit the second shot, etc. Best Ball is where each of the team plays their own ball tee to green, then only the best ball score is used for the team. Scramble is where each person hits a ball, then all hit their next shot from the best ball.
Members can invite guests, and all will be assigned to teams based on their handicap, ABC&D players per team. Hopefully you will meet and play with new members. The cost is $5 for prizes, $10 for guest green fee, and $12 for carts.

Members receive a 20% discount on Practice Range tokens for buckets of balls. You can purchase the tokens in the Pro Shop. Or you can pay $5 per bucket at the ball machine ($1 or $5's only-no coins or change)
