Planting Day
On Thursday May 13, we had 13 volunteers to help plant well over a hundred plants and shrubs around the front 9 course. Carmen Caron worked hard preparing all the plants, then organizing all of us at the various locations.
Marie Caron, Laurel Cebra, Nancy Voss, Deb Dean, Jim Semple, Linda McAffee, Ernie Whitman, Paul Whitman, Rich Johnston, and JoAnne Ferreira came in to help.
We still have quite a lot of plants left, and will be organizing another Planting Day in the near future for work on the Back 9. If you have any interest, please let Bob know. As soon as we have a date, we will put it in the newsletter.

Chambers' Golf Tournaments
Both the Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Bridgton Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce are having fund raising golf tournaments at Naples Golf & Country Club in June.

Welcome Back Party
NGCC is hosting a Welcome Back Party for all of our members, their guests, and anybody else who is considering to become a member. On Friday May 28 in the Sandtrap Grille, we will be offering free appetizers from 5-7 pm, so come and enjoy your old friends and meet some new friends!

"Nineteenth Holers"
On Sunday mornings, we have a game that anyone can play regardless of handicap. If you don't have one, we can establish one for you. This is a team event, with teams chosen by handicap. A, B, C and D players will be on each team. This event consists of a team point quota, closest to the pin, birdies, sandies, chip-in's and greenies. All points are for the team not the individual. This event costs $5 for the point quota, and 50 cents for all other items, per individual. Out tee time's start at 8am every Sunday, and you must be there by 7:45 so teams can be drawn. Please sign up on the sheet posted on the bulletin board by Thursday night. Questions can be directed to Wayne Newbegin or Jim Semple. Come join us, it's a fun event!
Membership Referrals
If any current 2010 member gives us a referral, in advance, to someone who was not a member in 2009, then NGCC will thank you with a $25 NGCC gift card for a new single membership, and a $50 NGCC gift card for a new couples membership.
Wifi Hotspot
The Club House and deck is now a free wifi hotspot. So if you have some work to do or want to check your email on your own laptop while eating lunch or having a drink, you can do that. The password for our guest network is golfnaples.
Season Passes
New this year, is an added benefit to our 2010 members. We are offering Season Passes for the practice range and the golf carts.
Cart Season Pass
Single - $425 Couple - $775
Practice Range Season Pass
Single - $125 Family - $200
Members receive a 20% discount on Practice Range tokens for buckets of balls. They are available in the Pro Shop.
Members - $4 per bucket
Guests - $5 per bucket
The Pro Shop offers club repair (24 hr turnaround), regripping ($6-8 per club), and golf shoe cleats replacement ($10).
President's Cup
The President's Cup is open to all members and is an individual 18 hole, gross score tournament. The game can be played anytime during the month of June and must be played with another member to verify the scorecard. There is a $10 fee which must be paid prior to the round being played.
